Wear the proud spirit of Rustic Americana with Mythical Beards’ latest offering: Raven. Sam Houston was born in Virginia on March 2, 1793, but much like his contemporary, Davy Crockett, Houston’s family decided to move to the American frontier. Settling in Maryville, Tennessee, Houston spent his days exploring the Frontier wilderness and reading classic literature from his late father’s library. Houston formal schooling, farm chores, legalistic religion, and working at the family general store, so at the age of 16 Houston runs away and joins a local Cherokee tribe on Hiwassee Island. Chief John Jolly takes Houston under his wing, treating him as an adopted son and giving him the name Oolooteka or “Raven.”


Raven thrived in his time with the Cherokee before joining the US Army for the War of 1812. Raven served valiantly and soared through the ranks, eventually reaching the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. Raven parlayed his military career into a life of public service, known for being an advocate for Native people and for his fiery temper, beating Congressman William Stanberry after he made slanderous accusations about Raven. Raven was held in contempt of Congress, but with the legal help of Francis Scott Key, he only received reprimand and fines. Raven continued his political career, which moved further westward to Texas, he became the Commander-in-Chief of the Texas Army that routed Santa Anna’s Mexican Army in the Battle of San Jacinto, and was later elected as the First President of Texas.

Mythical does it again. Outstanding profile that smells great and lasts all day. Each scent in the mix compliments each other. The leather, whiskey, and Palo Santo combine into a fantastic masculine scent that will turn heads.

Use the dropper to put desired amount of oil in hand. Rub hands together then massage into your face and beard. Using a brush or comb will help distribute the product evenly, then style acccordingly.
