Cerberus is the most popular pup in Greek mythology, serving as a guard to the gates of the underworld, preventing the dead from escaping back into the land of the living and the living from venturing into the land of the dead. Cerberus was depicted in several different ways. Most interpretations featured multiple canine heads (anywhere from two to a hundred heads) and some inclusion of writhing snakes whether as a mane, a tail, or just protruding from its back. Some depictions even include multiple canine bodies. The most popular myth involving Cerberus was Hercules’ 12th Labor. Following the tragic death of his wife and kids, Hercules is subjected to the 12 Labors while serving King Eurystheus of Tiryns. Eurystheus, seeking to give Hercules an impossible task, sends the hero to bring back the fabled guard dog of the underworld. After gaining secret knowledge through initiation to the Eleusinian Mysteries, Hercules takes on the underworld, encountering fellow heroes, ghosts, beasts, and monsters.Conclusions to this tale vary slightly. One account details Hercules being challenged by Hades, allowing Hercules to take Cerberus if he is able to subdue Cerberus with only his bare strength, which of course, Hercules does. Another account says that Persephone, Hades’ unwilling wife, give Cerberus away to Hercules, leading him by a chain-leash.

Original Beard Oil

  • Jamaican Black Castor

  • Argan
  • Jojoba
Use the dropper to put desired amount of oil in hand. Rub hands together then massage into your face and beard. Using a brush or comb will help distribute the product evenly, then style acccordingly.
