Mythical Beards digs deep into the annals of Norse mythology to bring you this cursed Monthly Mythos… Fáfnir: Draconic Horde. Fáfnir was the son of the dwarvish master blacksmith Hreidmar, along with his other brothers Regin and Otr. Hreidmar’s three sons accompanied Odin, Loki, and Hoenir on their quest to find the legendary falls of Andvari. Andvari was a wealthy dwarf, and like other dwarves from Norse myth, Andvari had a penchant for shape-shifting into a pike fish.


What began as a magical journey quickly turns to mischief as the god of mischief mistakes Otr’s otter avatar’s pelt for a prize trophy. The murder of his son Otr creates great rage in Hreidmar, requiring the payment of a weregild, or blood debt. The debt would require the party to acquire Andvari’s hidden trove, resting somewhere beneath the Falls. Odin and company are able to snag Andvari’s vast wealth, which did not endear them to Andvari, who curses the treasure to bring misfortune upon anyone who possesses it. Receiving the weregild, Hreidmar allows the gods to continue on their quest, however if Hreidmar only knew…


Fáfnir lusts after the gold, even after being forbidden by Hreidmar. The horde consumed the mind of Fáfnir, who kills his father in cold blood. To prevent his other brother Regin from laying hands on the gold, Fáfnir burrows deep underground and commits himself to being the trove’s greedy guardian. The corruption of Fáfir’s soul becomes reflected in his physical form, as he becomes the infamous dragon.


Fáfnir: Draconic Horde incorporates the legendary Mythical Tobacco with tones of teakwood, leather, cedar, sandalwood, patchouli, and dark musk that transport you to an ancient library where you crack the tome of this cautionary tale. Take in the damp earthiness of the petrichor as you travel underground to face the dragon guarding his horde. This is Mythical Beards’ Fáfnir: Draconic Horde.

 

What is Monthly Mythos?

A new scent every month! All year long we will have a theme for the Characters with a variety of scents. 2024's theme is CURSES! 
 This product is a monthly subscription but can be canceled EASILY at ANY TIME in your account page. If you have issues please reach out to me directly. 
 Current subscribers will be billed on the 7th of the month.
If you pre-pay for the year it will automatically trigger a shipment on the day of the month you purchased the annual subscription.
Those who pre-pay will get a matching set of whatever their annual subscription is in any free scents that get sent out as part of the Monthly Mythos. All other freebies will be an oil only.
Anyone who pre-pays will also be invited to a group chat to help come up with the scents for the Monthly Mythos freebies.

How Does it Work?

  • This is a monthly subscription. The scent description and art will be sent out by the 1st of every month.
  •  Cancel anytime. Your first months order will be billed and shipped whenever you make your first purchase. 
  • You will have until the 6th of the next month to skip that month's scent. 
  • You can manage your subscription through your account page. Available in all of our products like a normal product listing. 
  • You will get a Mythos Map with placeholders for stickers for each scent. Every order will get 1 sticker for the scent. If you order at least 9 of the 12 monthly scents you will be entered to win a free Become a Legend - Custom Scent WITH Artwork.

Absolutely spectacular as always! I’ve been wanting a tobacco and petrichor scent for forever and Fafnir absolutely nailed it on all levels! I went with the legendary blend and the feel in beard is superb

Very good scent

I was super surprised by the pepperberry. It is sweet with a slight spice. I like it a lot. I got mine in original oil since the blend works well for me.

Mythical never fails to make a good scent

The pepperberry in this concoction is fantastic. It blends in with the citrus and Jasmine with a woody finish from the drift. Andrew's carriers are phenomenal. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. Even if you don't have a beard.

And BAM! I love it. El Hombre Caiman was awesome. A brighter fragrance to enter the changing season. Worth an add to the collection and exploring some other options than just the oil.
